Radio Avec – A Voice of Hope in the Heart of Madagascar

Who We Are

Radio Avec (Audio Visual for Christian Expression) is a Catholic radio station of the Diocese of Ihosy, located in southern Madagascar. Founded in 1999, our mission is to inform, educate, and evangelize local communities, especially those in remote and hard-to-reach areas.

What We Do

We currently broadcast 14 hours a day (soon expanding to 16), reaching a wide area with a radius of up to 270 km. Our programming includes:

Live Mass broadcasts

Simple and accessible Bible teachings

Local and national news

Social appeals (e.g., blood donation requests)

Community messages and announcements

Connecting Communities

In a region where communication is limited or non-existent, Radio Avec serves as a vital bridge between people. Listeners can visit the station to submit messages, which we help them write and broadcast to connect villages and families.
